Privacy Policy

Rekoner (“we,” “us”) operates the Rekoner People Search application at rekoner.dev — an invite-only tool that lets approved users search professional and career data and export results. This policy explains what information we handle and how we use it.

Information we handle

• Google account information (name, email address, profile photo) obtained via Google Sign-In, used to authenticate you and check you against our approved-user allowlist.
• Approved-user allowlist — we store the email addresses and roles of users who are authorized to use the app.
• Search inputs and results — the filters you enter are sent to our data provider (People Data Labs) to return matching profiles, which are shown to you in the app. We do not store search results on our servers.

How we use Google user data

• Email & profile (userinfo.email, userinfo.profile, openid): to sign you in and authorize access.
• Google Sheets & Drive (spreadsheets, drive.file): only when you choose “Export to Google Sheets,” we create a new spreadsheet in your own Google Drive and write your exported rows into it. We access only the file we create for this export, at your explicit request. We never read, modify, or delete any other files in your Drive.

Limited Use disclosure

Rekoner’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How we share information

• We do not sell your personal information.
• To provide search results, your query inputs are sent to People Data Labs, our third-party data provider.
• We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Hosting) as our infrastructure, and Google APIs to perform sign-in and the Sheets/Drive export you request.

Data retention & security

• Allowlist entries are retained until an administrator removes them.
• We do not retain search results server-side.
• Access is restricted to approved users and all traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

Your choices

You may request removal of your access by contacting us. You can revoke Rekoner’s access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
